NIVA Hack (16&17JUNE)

How do we open up environmental data to farmers to help make them more informed land management decisions and improve their environmental performance? This is the key goal for the 32 hour NIVA hackathon, which will take place on a farm on the 16th and 17th June.

Results Carbon Hack

On the 21st and 22nd of March, two teams deepdived data for carbon sequestration on the experimental farm De Rusthoeve in Zeeland for 32 hours. The hackathon was part of the search for a user-friendly tool that is easy to use and provides farmers insight into the carbon sequestration on their farm. Although still very preliminary, teams felt the combination of these two data sources is potentially very powerful. In this blogpost you’ll read about the results!

COVID-19 Do It Yourself Hackathon

In light of the current COVID-19 crisis, the SmartAgriHubs program is stimulating the development of digital innovations which can help tackle the challenges faced by the Agrifood sector with the launch of two open calls. Data contracten in landbouw

Iedereen roept ‘de data is van de boer’, maar hoe zit het precies? Beschermt de AVG je privacy? Wat speelt er zich af in contracten met technologie leveranciers? We zijn in gebruikersovereenkomsten en privacy statements van trekkerfabrikanten gedoken, als voorbeeld van technologie leveranciers aan de landbouw. Er is goed nieuws. En er is slecht nieuws.
